Tour Details
On an exciting trip you will get to know the places that surround and take us to the highest mountain in America, Aconcagua. We will depart from La Serena, the oldest city on the Chilean coast, exploring the beautiful coastline of beaches and bays of Coquimbo known for being settlements of advanced indigenous fishermen and refuges for numerous pirates. Subsequently, the northernmost southern forests of Chile will appear, the bay of Huentelauquen and Vilu, which announce our arrival in a new world, the cold kingdom of Chile and the Mapuches, where at the beginning of the colony I lived in these areas, the greatest expression of the miscegenation and the hard times that were lived, one of the most violent women in history, Quintrala. We will explore the fertile Aconcagua valley and visit the city of the Andes and Portillo, the oldest ski center in the Southern Cone, to later ascend towards the Chilean-Argentinean border and meet the highest mountain in America.
Itinerary
- Departure from La Serena towards the South and stop in Huentelauquen.
- Arrival in Pichidangui and visit Santa Ines relict forest to have views of the Kay Kay Vilu sea serpent and Mount Aconcagua.
- Arrival in the province of Aconcagua and visit the Archaeological Museum of the Andes.
- Ascension of Los Libertadores Pass.
- Arrival Mount Aconcagua.
