The Route

Travel to one of most important cultural mountain destination and valley of Chile where the most emblematic landscapes and heritage treasures of the country were born. We will travel through ancient pre-Columbian villages, early churches, and the first hacienda houses of Spanish conquistadores, surrounded by pyramidal mountains rich in minerals, magnetism, and a transparent atmosphere, gave birth to outstanding andeans, semiarid, and mediterranean fruits that create the first and most recognized nectar wines and piscos in the southern hemisphere. Discover the landscapes that inspire the avant-garde Diaguitas pottery, the Incas supremacy, the origins and evolution of Chilean wines and piscos, the modern astronomical observatories, and the mysterious energetic portals and magical villages, landscapes, and traditions that inspired the life and artwork of the first Nobel prize winner in Latin America, Gabriela Mistral.

Itinerary
  • Tour through La Serena foundational terraces and monuments: stone churches, Plan Serena Urban Plan buildings and the origins of chilean wine.
  • Arrival to the Coquimbito coastal valley to see its ancient indigenous settlements, early conquistadores campsites, churches and hacienda houses.
  • Visit to the picturesques pre-Columbian villages of El Molle, El Tambo and Diaguitas (typical zone).
  • Views of Puclaro dam, visit a gourmet local wine shop and free time in Vicuña city to walk its symbolic art & sculpture square and craft markets.
  • Tasting tour and visit to Capel Pisco distillery, Museum and souvenirs shop.
  • Traditional chilean food Lunch menu and drinks in Villaseca Solar restaurant.
  • Views of the Inca trail and photo stop in some of the most historical vineyards of the Elqui Valley.
  • Visit to the Museum of Gabriela Mistral, Nobel prize winner of Literature.
  • Free time and Walking tour through Paihuano, Montegrande and Pisco Elqui villages.
  • Return to La Serena.
Tour include:
